With the technological partnership, the DWDM optical solutions developed by Padtec become part of Televés’ product line.
To expand its operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Padtec, a leading manufacturer of optical transport systems, announces a partnership with Televés, a multinational company headquartered in Spain and a leading provider of telecommunications infrastructures solutions. The agreement is part of Padtec’s strategy for the coming years which focuses on expanding its presence in the international market.
Manuel Andrade, Padtec North America’s CEO and International Operations SVP, states that the partnership with Televés is much more than a commercial relationship, the alliance enables both companies to enhance their market knowledge and add to their technological and production capabilities. Under the partnership, the DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) solutions developed by Padtec will be part of Televés’ product line.
“Televés is recognized for its efforts in research and development (R&D), for developing cutting-edge solutions and offering its customers qualified technical support in installation, commissioning and after-sales services, in addition to having deep commercial knowledge of the markets in which it operates”, points out Carlos Raimar Schoeninger, Padtec’s CEO. “In this scenario, the company is well positioned to help us deliver solutions capable of meeting the demands of the EMEA Market. Padtec already holds the leadership of the Latin American markets in the areas in which it operates and with this initiative, we are accelerating our international expansion plan”, adds the executive.
For Santiago Rey Requejo, Televés Corporación CEO, Padtec’s product line is particularly innovative and will allow the company to add solutions that meet the exponential demand for high capacity data transmission to its portfolio. “The partnership with Padtec places Televés as a solution provider for the entire EMEA market, in which the company already has a presence and is a reference in the telecommunications infrastructure segment”, emphasizes the executive. “We are very pleased to be able to work with Padtec and offer optical transmission equipment to the market using state-of-the-art technology,” he concludes.
Esther Gómez, director of this Business Unit at Televés, expresses her optimism regarding the expectations generated by the agreement. “The era of digital transformation requires reliable, secure, high-capacity, low-latency optical networks. In this sense, technology manufacturers need to offer solutions that balance performance and profitability. Televés’ commitment to solutions based on DWDM technology was the motivator to seek a partnership with Padtec, uniting the potential of the companies to position them as a technological provider capable of meeting the demands of the telecommunications ecosystem”, she concludes.
